The customer contacted Fire Alarm Houston because they needed assistance with their existing Fire Alarm System at their commercial space, Precision Glass Industries, located in Houston, TX. They were experiencing issues with specific components, including a problematic Dual-Action Addressable Pull Station and an Addressable Smoke Detector causing false alarms. Additionally, they required system upgrades, device replacements, and an annual inspection.
We provided the following solutions:
Issue Troubleshooting and Resolution:
Addressed and resolved the problem with the Dual-Action Addressable Pull Station.
Diagnosed and fixed the false alarm issue caused by the Smoke Detector above the FACP.
Device Replacement and Configuration:
Replaced the FireLite SD365-IV Smoke Detector with a new unit.
Removed duct detectors and modules that were no longer needed.
Connected the SLC (Signaling Line Circuit) to complete the configuration.
System Enhancements:
Installed and configured a Cellular Device for improved system communication.
Annual Inspection:
Performed a thorough inspection to ensure the system’s compliance with safety standards and its reliable operation.
System Adjustments:
Removed unnecessary devices from the system to streamline functionality.
